Kannada Day!
I spent most of the day trying to understand how the Kannada script is written. I quite enjoyed it! I love how it loops and curls—a real pleasure to write. Kannada is, in fact, one of the oldest south Indian languages.

Punch-cutting: a look at some of the instruments
A great book to have in your library is Counterpunch by Fred Smeijers. It is a very easy read and if you are thinking of designing type it’s a great starting point—looking at letterforms from the inside.
